Why does stove repair need a specialist technician?

1

Your stove is the only appliance in your home that burns gas every single day — and bad repair work doesn't just bring the fault back, it can create real danger: a leak, an unstable flame, or incomplete combustion producing carbon monoxide. That is why the difference between a specialist and a general handyman isn't a luxury — it is a safety difference.

2

Our technician doesn't just ask "what's wrong?" — he follows a fixed inspection protocol: a leak test on every connection with an electronic detector (not just soapy water), checking gas pressure and the condition of the regulator and hose, testing each burner and its flame color (steady blue is correct — yellow or orange means a combustion problem), and verifying the auto-ignition and the thermocouple safety cutoff. The diagnosis takes minutes and surfaces two things: the fault you can see, and any hidden issue that hasn't shown up yet.

3

And because your time matters: the van is stocked with the most-used spare parts — knobs, ignition plugs, thermocouples, hoses and regulators, oven door seals — for the brands common in Egypt. The result? 90% of repairs are completed in the same visit, most within an hour. If a part is rare (an old imported brand, say), we order it and return at a fixed appointment — not "we'll see and let you know."

All variants

Every stove type we repair

Whether you have an old Egyptian stove or a luxury Italian brand, 4 burners or 6, natural gas or LPG, free-standing or built-in — we have the specialist technician to resolve any fault precisely and quickly.

Stoves by burner count

— The burner count defines cooking capacity. Each variant has its own characteristics and faults.

Common faults

Stove faults we handle every day

Every stove fault has a specific cause and an appropriate fix. The specialist technician diagnoses precisely on the first visit — no "random fixes" that bring you back a week later.

Stove won't ignite

The most common fault. Causes: blocked burner ports, faulty auto-ignition, low gas, or a broken knob.

Causes & fix

Weak stove flame

Orange flame instead of blue, or very small. The cause is usually grease buildup on the burner ports or low gas pressure.

Causes & fix

Gas smell from the stove

A dangerous fault requiring immediate action. Causes: damaged hose, broken regulator, or loose internal connections.

Causes & fix

Auto-ignition not working

You turn the knob and the burner lights, but without the ignition spark. The cause is usually the ignition sensor or its electrical circuit.

Causes & fix

Faulty stove knobs

A knob that won't turn, turns without opening gas, or comes out of place. Usually needs a knob replacement or cleaning.

Causes & fix

Stove oven not heating

The oven integrated into the stove runs on a separate burner. If it won't heat, the cause is usually the oven burner, the thermostat, or the ignition.

Causes & fix

Stove oven door won't close

Damaged hinges, worn seal, or broken glass. This loses oven heat and increases gas usage.

Causes & fix

Broken stove or oven glass

Cracked stove cover glass or oven glass. We supply original replacements per brand. Price varies by brand.

Pro vs DIY

Specialist Technician vs. General Handyman — What It Means for Your Stove

A general handyman fixes everything: washers, heaters, ACs, and stoves. A specialist works on stoves only. Here is the difference you actually feel:

Aspect
BuiltInFix specialist
General handyman
Diagnosis
Fixed inspection protocol with an electronic leak detector — finds the visible fault and the hidden one
Trial and error by feel — the hidden fault shows up two weeks later
Spare parts
Stocked van with the common parts for your brand + original or alternative options under warranty
Goes to the market to find a part — second and third visits, unknown part origin
Safety after repair
Full leak test + flame color and combustion check before leaving
Eyeball test — "it works" doesn't mean it's safe
Warranty
Written warranty of 3-12 months on an official tax invoice
Verbal promise — "call me if anything happens"
Long-term cost
Slightly more per visit, cheaper per year — the fault doesn't come back
Cheaper per visit, costlier per year — you pay for the same fault two or three times

Frequently asked questions about stove repair

Do you repair every type of stove?
Yes. We repair: gas stoves (natural gas / LPG), electric stoves (ceramic / induction), hybrid stoves (gas + electric oven), all sizes from 2 to 6 burners, free-standing, built-in, and stand-alone hobs — for all brands including Egyptian, Italian, German, Turkish, and Asian.
How much does stove repair cost?
The in-home inspection is free. Most repairs start from around EGP 800-1,200, and repairs involving spare parts — especially on imported stoves — can cost more depending on the part: an original part for an imported brand can run EGP 2,000-3,000 on its own. Figures are approximate and vary by appliance type, age and condition; the technician quotes the exact final price before starting, with no obligation if you decline.
How long does a stove repair take?
Inspection and diagnosis: 15-20 minutes. Common repairs (injector cleaning, replacing a knob, ignition plug or hose): 30 to 90 minutes in the same visit. If the fault needs a part the van doesn't carry — usually with older imported brands — we order it and return at a fixed appointment within 3-7 days.
Should I repair my stove or buy a new one?
A simple rule we give our customers: if the repair costs less than 30-40% of an equivalent new stove and your appliance is under 10-12 years old — repair wins. With new stoves starting around EGP 5,000 for Egyptian brands and exceeding EGP 15,000-20,000 for imported ones, most repairs come out far cheaper. After inspection the technician gives you an honest call — and if the repair isn't worth it, we will tell you "buy new" rather than take your money on a dead appliance.
When will the technician arrive?
In Cairo and Giza, 90% of requests are served the same day and most within an hour of the call. In other governorates (Alexandria, Mansoura, Tanta, etc.), arrival is within 24-48 hours maximum.
Do you use original spare parts?
We offer two transparent options: imported original parts (highest quality, higher cost, longest life), or high-quality compatible alternatives (more affordable, respectable quality). The technician explains the difference and consults with you. Compatible parts also carry a warranty.
Is there a warranty on the repair?
Yes — we provide a written warranty from 3 months to 1 year on every repair, depending on the fault and the parts used (originals carry longer warranty). The warranty covers the repair itself and the parts installed. If it fails on the same issue during the warranty, we fix it again for free.
Do you repair Egyptian and imported stoves?
Yes, both. We have technicians specialized in Egyptian brands (Royal Gas, Fresh, Universal, Kiriazi, Unionaire, Premium, Xper, iCook), imported Italian (Ariston, Zanussi, Glem Gas, La Germania, Tecnogas, Smeg), imported German (Bosch, Siemens, Miele), Turkish (Beko, Simfer, Teka), and Asian (LG, Samsung). Imported spare parts are available (with slightly longer lead times).
Do you install new stoves?
Yes — we have a professional installation service for new stoves, especially built-in ones that need a proper technical install (gas connections, counter mounting). Correct installation from day one prevents leaks and later problems.
Is there overnight emergency service?
Yes. Line 16062 runs 24/7 and we have an emergency team available all night and on holidays. Absolute priority for danger cases like gas leaks. If you smell gas: immediately shut the gas cylinder valve, ventilate the area, do not switch any electrical appliance, and call 16062 right away.
